AMAG Pharmaceuticals has appointed Rajiv De Silva and Gino Santini to its board of directors.
De Silva currently serves as president of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International and chief operating officer of its specialty pharmaceuticals business. He joined Valeant in January 2009 and was named president in October 2010. Previously, he held the position of president at Novartis. Prior to his time at Novartis, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company.
Santini retired in 2010 from Eli Lilly and Company, where he served most recently as senior vice president, corporate strategy and business development.
These appointments bring the AMAG Board to seven members.
