LCH Clearnet Appoints Chief Risk Officer

LCH Clearnet, a U.K.-based independent clearing house group, has appointed Dennis McLaughlin as chief risk officer. He will also join the company's executive committee, independent group risk committee and will serve as chairman for the internal executive risk committee.

With more than 20 years experience in risk management and finance, McLaughlin, joins the company from AON, a provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, where he served as chief executive officer. Prior to AON, he served as global head of capital and balance sheet management at Merrill Lynch and director of capital and global consumer group at Citigroup.

McLaughlin started his finance career as a consultant at global risk management firm McKinsey.
