Wells Fargo Names New Chief Compliance Officer

Scuttlebutt | May 14, 2012

Wells Fargo, a financial services company, has appointed Yvette Hollingsworth as chief compliance officer, effective June 1. She assumes this position from Tim Marrinan, who retired late last year.

Hollingsworth will be responsible for ensuring that the company meets compliance management responsibilities and abides by all applicable laws and regulations. Her team will provide independent oversight of business-based compliance management activities.

Hollingsworth most recently served as managing director and global head of operations compliance and financial crimes compliance and risk management for Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank. She has experience in compliance and risk management, having spent approximately 10 years as a regulator with the Federal Reserve System with roles at the Federal Reserve Banks of San Francisco and New York as well as the Board of Governors.

Hollingsworth also has served in a variety of senior compliance and anti-money laundering roles for financial institutions including Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank and at Citigroup, where she served as managing director and regional head of anti-money laundering compliance for the markets and banking North America division.
