ZipRealty Appoints New Chief Accounting Officer

ZipRealty has appointed Eric Mersch as chief accounting officer, senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective April 9. Mersch assumes this position from David Rector, who will continue to serve as senior vice president of finance until his retirement later this year.

Mersch most recently served as CFO of Imaging Advantage, a provider of radiology solutions to health centers and radiology groups, from November 2010 to August 2011. Other companies where Mersch has held the position of CFO include Sonim Technologies; DemandFlex; Razorgator; and VitalStream. He also co-founded Deer Valley Ventures.

Mersch also has held various positions, including vice president of finance, at gaming and hospitality company Harrah's Entertainment (now Caesar's Entertainment).
