Bridgestone Americas, a subsidiary of $35.7 billion Bridgestone Corporation, has named Chris Nicastro vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer, and secretary, effective March 1.

Nicastro, currently general counsel, Bridgestone Americas Latin American Operations, and Bridgestone Americas’ corporate compliance officer, replaces Gary Garfield, who has been named the firm’s president and CEO. In his new role, Nicastro will be responsible for overseeing the legal and compliance functions of the Nashville-based company.

Before joining Bridgestone Americas in 2008, Nicastro served eight years in corporate compliance and ethics with Yasaki North America, and four years of litigation experience with Marconi Data Systems.
