Food products company The H. J. Heinz Co. has named Dan Shaw as general counsel, effective immediately.

His new role follows the successful acquisition of Heinz by Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital on June 7, and comes in addition to several other changes that were made to the senior leadership team.

Shaw has been with Heinz for 32 years and has served as Heinz's deputy general counsel since 2009. In his new role, he will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions, securities law, finance transactions, litigation, and general commercial and regulatory matters.
