Nike has hired Hilary Krane as vice president and general counsel, reporting to CEO Mark Parker. She succeeds long-time Nike general Counsel Jim Carter, who is retiring after 12 years with Nike.

Krane joins Nike from Levi Strauss & Company, where she had worked since 2006 as executive vice president, general counsel of corporate affairs. Krane brings global experience in corporate governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, brand protection, and government affairs. Before joining Levi Strauss, Krane was partner and assistant general counsel for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
