Ryan D. McConnell is a federal prosecutor in Houston. He prosecutes cases ranging from complex fraud schemes to violations of the U.S. export laws.
Mr. McConnell has substantial jury trial experience and has briefed and argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition, he co-authored a study on deferred and non-prosecution agreements that has been featured in the New York Times, the Houston Chronicle, USA Today and the National Law Journal in addition to numerous other publications.
Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he was with the law firms of Baker Botts in Houston, and Shearman & Sterling in New York, focusing on securities and antitrust litigation as well as white collar investigations.
Mr. McConnell is a former law clerk to the Honorable John C. Godbold of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 2003.
