Patricia Prince-Taggart

SVP, Managing Attorney, Former Business Practices and Compliance, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer
CA, Inc.

Patricia Prince Taggert

With more than eighteen years as an executive in the high-tech industry and four years of private legal practice in New York and Connecticut, Patricia (Pati) Prince-Taggart has developed a keen sense of the dynamic IT industry that’s complemented by strong business acumen.

Pati has recently taken on a new role at CA, as SVP and Managing Attorney of the law department, responsible for the unit’s administrative and finance operations. Previously she headed CA’s business practices and compliance area.

As Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer in CA’s Business Practices and Compliance group, Pati was responsible for helping to implement the company’s global compliance program. She worked to establish standards, guidelines, and policies to ensure that the company complies with government regulations, international standards, and internal policies. This included promulgating the company’s Code of Conduct, ensuring that customer and employee complaints were appropriately investigated and resolved, and developing training for compliance officers and employees to make strong business practices and compliance part of CA’s DNA worldwide.

Her previous experience serving as general counsel for high-tech companies includes managing IP-related matters, negotiating complex IT contracts, handling patent infringement litigation, managing securities litigation, and assisting in the preparation of SEC requirements and filings. Pati has worked with spin-offs, late-stage start-ups and large corporations, enhancing her in-depth knowledge of financial and legal principles/practices and experience working with regulatory agencies.
