Robert Brewer is senior vice president and chief compliance officer at Office Depot, Inc. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing internal audit, loss prevention, risk management, information security compliance and the aviation department.

Prior to becoming chief compliance officer, Brewer served as the company’s vice president of global corporate audit services. In this role, he focused on internal audit activities on a global basis and loss prevention. He is also a member of the Office Depot Foundation Board.

Prior to joining Office Depot, Brewer served as director of audit for W.R. Grace & Co. and Praxair Inc. He has also served as chairman of the business & industry committee and Nominations committee for the American Institute of CPA’s and was the former vice president of student relations for the Institute of Internal Auditors.
