Is it legal or is it right?

Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting at the Compliance Week Europe conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This was the conference’s fifth year, and it broke all previous attendance records. Many of the compliance professionals I spoke to from across the Eurozone and beyond (including a few from Brazil) were full of enthusiasm for the compliance field and showed an intense interest to learn more about it, to share what they already knew, and to champion best practices for swiftly evolving challenges such as artificial intelligence, modern slavery, and cyber-fraud.

One of these challenges was the issue of taxation and, more specifically, tax avoidance.
