Dallas Airmotive Pays $14 Million for FCPA Violations

Dallas Airmotive, a provider of aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services, has reached a $14 million settlement with the Department of Justice to resolve criminal charges over violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The settlement resolves charges that Dallas Airmotive bribed government officials in Latin America in order to secure lucrative government contracts. According to court documents filed Dec. 10 in federal court in the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Airmotive bribed officials of the Brazilian Air Force, the Peruvian Air Force, the Office of the Governor of the Brazilian State of Roraima, and the Office of the Governor of the San Juan Province in Argentina between 2008 and 2012.
