A.H. Belo Names New Controller

Newspaper publisher A.H. Belo Corporation has named Mike Lavey vice president and controller.

Lavey was promoted to the position after serving as controller for the company’s flagship paper, The Dallas Morning News, according to the newspaper.

Lavey has more than 30 years of accounting and finance experience. He previously served as vice president of finance and a member of the senior leadership team at imc2, a privately-owned digital advertising agency, as well as CFO of the Lighting Science Group Corporation. He's also held various senior finance and accounting positions at companies including MetroPCS, and Excel Communications/Vartec Telecom.
