Mastercard names assistant general counsel for privacy

Mastercard announced that Erika Brown Lee joined the company in March as senior vice president and assistant general counsel for privacy and data protection. Brown Lee will report to JoAnn Stonier, the company’s chief information governance and privacy officer.

She will lead the team that provides advice for and ensures compliance with privacy and data protection laws across the company’s products and services. Brown Lee will also work closely with information governance and cybersecurity teams to develop policies and manage regulatory interactions.

Brown Lee joins Mastercard after more than three years at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she was the chief privacy and civil liberties officer, serving as a principal advisor to the Attorney General and other senior leaders.
