Verizon Names New General Counsel

Jaclyn Jaeger | October 2, 2008

Verizon Communications has named Randal Milch as executive vice president and general counsel, effective Oct. 15.

Milch, who is currently general counsel at Verizon Business, began his career with Verizon when he joined Bell Atlantic in 1993. Prior to his current assignment, he was senior vice president and deputy general counsel for Verizon, responsible for the legal staffs supporting Verizon’s domestic telecom business and state regulatory efforts.

To ensure a seamless transition, Milch will report to William Barr, the company’s current executive vice president, until his retirement at the end of this year. Beginning Jan. 1, 2009, Milch will report to Verizon Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg.
