Labor Department Implements Financial Management Tool

GRC Announcements | February 1, 2010

Global Computer Enterprises announced that the U.S. Department of Labor has gone live with GCE’s cloud-computing based financial management Shared Service Provider solution. The event marks the first implementation of a cabinet-level department onto a commercial SSP solution based on Oracle Financials Release 12.

Marking the agency’s first financial management solution overhaul in over 20 years, the Labor Department expects to drive major operational efficiencies, on-going compliance with the Office of Management and Budget and Treasury guidelines, and greater insight and reporting of spending. In addition, because the solution is cloud based, the agency didn't have to make any hardware or software investments.

GCE’s Federal financial solution, known as the SSP Appliance, delivers customers a pre-configured, pre-integrated Oracle Federal Financials-based solution coupled with a full range of services from data migration and testing through security, change management, and training.
