Marcum Merges With Stonefield Josephson

Independent public accounting and advisory services firm, Marcum, has announced its merger with Los Angeles, Calif.-based Stonefield Josephson, a full-service, international accounting firm. As a result of the merger, Stonefield Josephson will change its name to MarcumStonefield.

Stonefield Josephson, founded in 1975, serves both public- and privately-held U.S. and international clients from offices in California and Hong Kong.

As a result of the merger, Marcum will benefit from cultural and operational synergies and is now better positioned geographically to serve multi-national clients, the firm said. The merger with Stonefield Josephson marks Marcum's fifth strategic merger in the past 29 months, expanding its presence throughout the Northeast, Florida and California. Further, the firm reported that it will continue to seek deliberate growth opportunities.
