SunGard, a software and technology services company, announced that its Valdi Options Risk Manager, which helps firms effectively manage their overall position risk and identify options trading opportunities, now supports options traded on international exchanges.
“As volumes continue to grow, options traders are seeking cost efficient routes to global liquidity," said Andy Nybo, principal and head of derivatives research for TABB Group. "They require trading solutions that can deliver accurate market insights to support faster and smarter trading decisions and access to global exchanges through innovative delivery methods.”
Valdi Options Risk Manager helps options traders and risk managers track their options and underlying positions, monitor profit and loss, and analyze scenario risk across a global portfolio of listed options. They can also view their options risk in real-time, monitor global options market volatility, filter data to create a customized view of their activities and drill down into options symbols in order to identify specific trading opportunities. The solution also provides market data that is sourced directly from global options exchanges and distributed via the SunGard Global Network, which provides multi-asset order-routing capabilities for institutional asset managers, hedge funds and broker dealers.
As an ASP solution, Valdi Options Risk Manager helps reduce upfront investment in technology, minimize futures investment in hardware and infrastructure and lower the total cost of ownership. The solution is supported by SunGard's hosted infrastructure, providing users with a low-latency, easy-to-use front-end application.
