Omnicare Appoints New Director

Omnicare, a pharmaceutical company, has appointed Sam Leno to its board of directors. He will also serve on the company's audit committee.

Leno has more than 40 years of experience, mostly within the healthcare sector. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief operations officer at Boston Scientific. Prior to this role, he served as executive vice president of finance and information systems and chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Leno served as executive vice president of corporate finance and operations and CFO at Zimmer Holdings. He also has held CFO positions at Arrow Electronics, Corporate Express, and Coram Healthcare. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of senior financial positions at Baxter International and American Hospital Supply Corporation.
