Should have kept the receipts | The Defense Logistics Agency—the wing of the U.S. Defense Department that distributes supplied to every branch of the U.S. military worldwide—has no idea how it lost $800 million. That’s the finding from EY, which just finished conducting the agency’s first-ever external audit. The DLA didn’t expect a clean audit, but we’re guessing it didn’t expect to find out that it misplaced almost a billion bucks worth of stuff along the way. That’s like buying a couple of thousand of armored hum-vees and then forgetting where you parked them. Forever.
