Goldman Sachs disclosed in a securities filing it has appointed both a new chief risk officer and a new principal accounting officer. 

In a Form 8-K, filed Sept. 13, Goldman Sachs announced it has appointed Brian Lee as chief risk officer, effective Nov. 4. Lee currently serves as controller and principal accounting officer of the company, responsibilities he assumed in March 2017. Lee joined the firm in 1994 in the Controllers department, becoming a managing director in 2002 and a partner in 2008.

Also effective Nov. 4, Sheara Fredman will become controller and principal accounting officer. Previously, Fredman served as head of regulatory controllers since 2017. Prior to that, she held various other management roles within the Controllers department. Fredman joined the firm in 2002 in the Controllers department, becoming a managing director in 2008 and a partner in 2012.
