Change is both inevitable and an opportunity for reflection. For Steve Naughton, who recently departed Kimberly-Clark as its chief ethics and compliance officer, change is an opportunity to look at the evolution of compliance as a profession.

Naughton plans to move on to a new firm with a desire to face new challenges in the near future.

As a leader in the compliance field for over twelve years, his career path reflects the changing corporate mindset regarding compliance. He was formerly vice president of compliance and chief compliance officer, as well as the vice president of litigation for PepsiCo. Before working in the Compliance function at Pepsi, he served as chief litigation, sales, and operations counsel for The Quaker Oats Co. and Tropicana Products, both subsidiaries of the beverage giant. In those roles, he oversaw the legal function for all litigation, supply chain, and manufacturing and purchasing, as well as having responsibility for antitrust compliance...
