PwC has appointed former audit leader Timothy Ryan as its new US chairman for a four-year term.

Ryan succeeds Bob Moritz, another former audit leader who was recently appointed global chairman of PwC after two terms as US chairman. Ryan has served since 2013 as vice chairman and leader of US markets, strategy, and stakeholders, where he was responsible for the firm’s strategy function and stakeholder relationships. That includes investor relations, regulatory affairs, public policy, corporate responsibility, and human capital.
