The vast majority of businesses are using artificial intelligence tools and most are doing so without any AI governance–a glaring compliance gap that poses extreme risks, according to a new survey by Compliance Week and GAN Integrity.
The “AI Governance Benchmarking Survey” was conducted between October and November and received 232 responses, with 50 percent of respondents working in compliance and risk. The most frequently occurring industry among respondents was financial services (31 percent), with the next closest being energies/utilities and government (each 7 percent), healthcare and education (each 6 percent), and consulting and manufacturing (each 5 percent).
