Accretive Health has named Corey Perman as chief compliance officer. Perman brings to his new position almost 20 years of legal, healthcare, and compliance experience working with integrated delivery networks, a national law firm, and several government agencies.

Most recently, Perman served as senior compliance officer and legal counsel at Advocate Health Care, where he led efforts to build standardization and best practices for the organization’s compliance function and played an integral role in advising the health system on key regulatory and compliance issues.

Prior to Advocate Health Care, Perman was a senior associate at the law firm of Epstein Becker & Green, working in the firm’s litigation and national health care practice groups. Before that, he served as a trial attorney for the Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, Plan Benefits Security Division, where he conducted federal district court and appellate litigation under ERISA. Perman also served as a fellow with the United States Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources.
