Engineering design company AECOM has appointed Carla Christofferson as general counsel. In this role, Christofferson will oversee all aspects of AECOM’s global legal function, including risk management.

Christofferson joins AECOM from O’Melveny & Myers, where she most recently was managing partner of the Los Angeles office. She joined the firm in 1993 as an associate and became a partner in 2001, ultimately becoming managing partner of the Los Angeles office in 2008. During her tenure at O’Melveny & Myers, Christofferson successfully represented clients in a number of industries, including power, energy, and oil and gas.
