Aegion, an infrastructure protection and maintenance company, has appointed Walter Galvin to its board of directors. He also will serve on the board’s audit committee, and corporate governance and nominating committee.

Galvin brings more than 40 years of management and financial experience to Aegion’s board. Currently, he is a consultant to Emerson Electric and served as Emerson’s vice chairman from October 2009 to February 2013. Galvin served as Emerson’s chief financial officer from 1993 to February 2010.

Galvin's appointment increases the size of Aegion’s board from seven to eight members.
