Amgen has appointed Jonathan Graham as general counsel and secretary, effective July 13. He will succeed David Scott, who is retiring Aug. 31.

Graham joins Amgen from Danaher Corporation, where he has served as general counsel, responsible for all legal, governance, regulatory, risk, and compliance matters. Previously, Graham was vice president, litigation and legal policy at General Electric Company and a partner at Williams & Connolly.

In his new role, Graham will be responsible for Amgen's legal operations. He will report to Chief Executive Officer Robert Bradway.
