They say that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Amusement-park giant Six Flags recently discovered that wheels squeaking loud enough can get an awful lot of cash, too.

Six Flags agreed earlier this month to reimburse $10.4 million to Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins football team and investment activist who gained control of the company last year in a messy proxy fight. Now chairman of the 30-park chain, Snyder insisted that the company pay him back for the expense of his takeover fight.
