Carestream Health, a medical film and digital imaging solutions provider, has appointed Jim Nortz as chief compliance officer.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Nortz joined Carestream in April from Sutherland Global Service, where he served as corporate compliance director. In that role, he was responsible for the development and implementation of Sutherland Global Services’ Compliance and Ethics Program and leading the Global Corporate Compliance Organization (GCCO). The GCCO is responsible for promoting, overseeing and building the company’s capability to comply with externally defined laws, regulations, the Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and ethical standards that have a global impact on the company.

Prior to that role, Nortz held compliance positions with several companies, including eyecare product company Bausch & Lomb; Krayton Polymers, a global producer of engineered polymers; Adecco, an employment services firm; and specialty chemicals company Chemtura.
