Centene announced, consistent with its policy of rotating executives as part of its executive development program, a rotation that provides for new roles and responsibilities for a number of its senior executives.

As part of this rotation, Brandy Burkhalter has been appointed EVP, operations, with responsibility for products, shared services, and other business operations. Burkhalter, who joined Centene in 2006, oversaw Centene's audit and risk management functions, including enterprise risk management, internal audit, claims audit, compliance, and implementation monitoring.

Chris Koster, SVP of corporate services, will continue in that role and will assume responsibilities for compliance, internal audit and risk management while the company conducts a search for Burkhalter's replacement.

Both will continue to report to Chief Executive Officer Michael Neidorff. These appointments, and new roles and responsibilities, are effective immediately.
