Centennial Resource Development,  an independent oil producer, announced in a Form 8-K that it has appointed Brent Jensen as chief accounting officer.

He assumes the role from Jamie Wheat, who resigned, effective as of March 24. The company said that Wheat's resignation was “not the result of any disagreements with the company.”

Jensen previously served as vice president, finance and treasurer of Whiting Petroleum from March 2015 through March 2017. Prior to serving in that role, Jensen served as controller and treasurer of Whiting from January 2006 to February 2015 and as controller of Whiting from August 2005 through December 2005.

 

Prior to joining Whiting, Jensen was a senior audit manager with PwC, where he held various positions in their oil and gas audit practice from 1994 to 2005 in their Los Angeles, California; Moscow, Russia; Milan, Italy and Houston, Texas offices.
