Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance advisor, has added managing director Steve Cornmell and director Victoria Richards to its Disputes and Investigations practice in London. The addition of these new professionals aligns with the firm’s strategy to expand its capabilities in disputes and investigations and strengthens its existing team, while enhancing the firm’s presence throughout Europe.

Cornmell is a forensic accounting and investigation specialist who brings more than 20 years of experience in providing consulting and expert witness testimony focused on criminal fraud and financial investigations, forensic accounting and commercial litigation and disputes. He has significant experience assisting corporate clients in investigations of alleged fraud and accounting irregularity and breakdown. 

Richards has over 10 years of experience in forensic accounting and investigations and has assisted clients with a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including commercial litigation, international arbitrations, professional indemnity claims, loss of profit claims, contractual disputes, business valuations and fraud investigations. She gained significant experience from her time at the U.K. Serious Fraud Office, where she served as a senior investigator and was involved in a range of cases involving false accounting, boiler room fraud, Ponzi schemes, market abuse and insider dealing.
