Healthcare IT provider Allscripts Healthcare Solutions announced in a regulatory filing the promotion of Tejal Vakharia to general counsel, effective June 21.

Vakharia currently serves as senior vice president and chief compliance counsel at the firm, according to her LinkedIn profile. Her previous experience includes a compliance lead role at GE Healthcare.

Vakharia assumes the general counsel position from Brian Farley, who will no longer serve in the roles of executive vice president, chief administrative officer, general counsel and corporate secretary as of June 21. The departure of Farley is not a result of any dispute or disagreement over the company’s operations, policies, or practices, Allscripts disclosed.
