Citigroup Chief Compliance Officer Mark Carawan is set to retire after nearly nine years with the firm.

The move is effective June 8, according to Reuters. Carawan will be replaced by Mary McNiff, the current chief executive officer of Citibank N.A.

Carawan joined Citigroup in August 2011 as chief internal auditor, according to his LinkedIn profile. He assumed the role of chief compliance officer in February 2017.

Also on June 8, Karen Peetz will join Citigroup in the newly created position of chief administrative officer.
