Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), a global corporate insurance carrier that is part of the Allianz Group, announced the appointment of Adam Hamm as chief compliance officer for North America.

Hamm will report to Julie Garrison, regional head of legal & compliance, and replaces Bill Paukovitz, who is leaving AGCS after 39 years. Paukovitz will remain with AGCS through year-end in a transition role.

For the past three years, Hamm has been managing director of risk, compliance and technology with Protiviti, a global consulting firm. Previously, he led engagement teams at U.S. property and casualty and life insurance companies and also was a frequent speaker on regulatory issues.

In 2014, Hamm served as an elected president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, where he set insurance regulatory priorities and oversaw the development of numerous regulatory initiatives.
