Tobacco products company Altria Group announced the appointment of Robert McCarter as executive vice president and general counsel, effective April 1.
The move comes after Murray Garnick notified the company of his decision to retire.
Currently, McCarter serves as senior vice president and associate general counsel at Altria Client Services. He joined Altria in 2015 following 18 years in private practice representing Altria and its subsidiaries in litigation matters.
