The chief compliance officer at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Maria Buccieri, is departing the agency for a compliance role with the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), she announced in a LinkedIn post.

“Very excited to join Amtrak today as their first senior director of compliance. Honored to be part of such a talented team during a pivotal time of infrastructure investment in our nation,” Buccieri wrote.

Buccieri brings nearly a decade of experience in regulatory compliance, split between the accounting, banking, and transportation sectors.

Previously, she served as a regulatory compliance consultant with accounting firm Wolf & Company and held roles of increasing responsibility with Centreville Bank, including assistant vice president, regulatory compliance officer; vice president, CCO; and vice president, CCO and director of risk management, according to her LinkedIn profile.
