Arcutis Biotherapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Courtney Barton as chief compliance officer and chief of staff. Barton will also serve as chief privacy officer, the company announced.

Barton brings over 17 years of corporate and healthcare compliance experience to Arcutis, most recently serving as vice president, commercial excellence and chief compliance officer at Cipla Therapeutics, a division of Cipla USA.

Prior to Cipla, she held numerous compliance roles, including as chief compliance officer and privacy officer at MannKind; chief compliance officer at Anacor; and head of corporate compliance at KYTHERA Biotherapeutics. Earlier in her career, she held compliance roles with Allergen and Bausch & Lomb. She began her career as a compliance analyst at Winn-Dixie.
