Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced the promotion of Head of Legal Eleanor Hughes to general counsel.

Hughes brings more than 15 years of both in-house legal experience and at law firms. She will lead a team of 85 lawyers and work closely with the company’s compliance team.

Hughes joined Binance’s legal team in November 2021. She was subsequently promoted to be the head of legal for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa.
