Cryptocurrency platform Blockchain.com announced the appointment of CJ Rinaldi as global chief compliance officer.

In this role, Rinaldi will build out Blockchain.com’s established global compliance frameworks, maintain a durable compliance program that mitigates compliance risk, supervise client lifecycle management, and grow an already robust compliance team, CEO and Co-Founder Peter Smith wrote in a blog post.

Rinaldi joins from Deutsche Bank, where he served as chief compliance officer for anti-financial crimes. His previous experiences include working as global head of client infrastructure at UBS Investment Bank and as manager of counterparty relations at Bridgewater Associates.

Early in his career, Rinaldi served as senior counsel in the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
