CF Industries Holdings announced the promotion of Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant Secretary Michael McGrane to vice president, general counsel and secretary.

McGrane will report to Susan Menzel and succeed Douglas Barnard, who is transitioning to executive vice president, corporate development and legal adviser before his retirement, effective Jan. 12.

Joining CF Industries in 2011 as associate general counsel and assistant secretary, McGrane was named CCO in January 2016. Prior to joining CF Industries, he was an attorney at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, where his practice concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and general corporate and securities law matters.
