Financial services company DigitalBridge announced the promotion of Geoffrey Goldschein, investment management division managing director and general counsel, to chief legal officer and company secretary.

With 20 years of experience advising on fund formations, U.S. securities laws, portfolio company acquisitions and divestitures, and other material portfolio matters, Goldschein will lead the company’s legal function, providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Previously, he spent 10 years at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), where he worked as legal counsel for listed and unlisted infrastructure funds.

Prior to MIRA, Goldschein worked in the corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyout groups of several large international law firms, primarily representing private equity funds and portfolio companies in a wide variety of domestic and international transactions, according to his company profile.
