Grainger, a distributor of maintenance, repair, and operating products, announced the appointment of Nancy Berardinelli-Krantz as senior vice president and chief legal officer, effective Jan. 30.

Berardinelli-Krantz will join Grainger from Eaton Corp., where she serves as senior vice president and deputy chief legal officer. Prior to Eaton, she held senior leadership positions at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and worked for international law firm Jones Day.

She will succeed John Howard, who joined Grainger in 2000 as senior vice president and general counsel.
