iRobot Corp. announced Glen Weinstein, the technology company’s executive vice president and chief legal officer, was appointed interim chief executive officer.

In a related move, Tonya Drake was promoted to executive vice president and general counsel.

Weinstein originally joined iRobot in 2000 as general counsel and was promoted to general counsel and senior vice president in 2005. He was named executive vice president and chief legal officer in 2012.

Drake previously served as iRobot’s senior vice president and deputy general counsel and as vice president and assistant general counsel. Prior to this, she was a principal at Fish & Richardson in Boston.
