Investment holding company Jackson Financial announced the addition of Carrie Chelko as executive vice president, effective Aug. 30. Chelko is expected to assume the role of general counsel and secretary following Jackson’s planned separation from Prudential on Sept. 13.

Chelko succeeds Julia Goatley, who has been serving as interim EVP, general counsel and secretary since February and will return to retirement. Chelko joins Jackson from Fidelity Investments, where she served as senior vice president and chief compliance officer and led regulatory compliance for businesses within Fidelity Personal Investing.

Prior to Fidelity, Chelko served as senior vice president and chief counsel for Lincoln Financial Network and Lincoln Financial Distributors.
