Government healthcare services corporation Maximus announced the appointment of John Martinez as general counsel.

Martinez joins Maximus from GE Aerospace, where he served as vice president and general counsel. In that role, he was responsible for developing and executing the company’s legal strategy and leading the company’s global portfolio, including the legal, contracts, compliance, and government relations organizations.

Before GE, he held the roles of vice president and general counsel for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, deputy general counsel for the Director of National Intelligence, and senior associate general counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency.

Martinez succeeds David Francis, who will retire at the end of the year.
