Private equity firm Palladium Equity Partners has promoted Dominick Barbieri to general counsel and chief compliance officer amid a series of personnel moves.

Barbieri assumes the role from Eugenie-Cesar Fabian, who has been appointed head of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability. Fabian joined the firm in 2011 as its first general counsel and CCO.

Prior to joining Palladium in 2017 as associate general counsel and deputy CCO, Barbieri served as senior counsel with the Division of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission. During approximately 5 1/2 years at the SEC, he investigated, litigated, and resolved matters involving insider trading, conflicts of interest, fraudulent offerings, and pay-to-play allegations on behalf of the agency’s Enforcement Division and Complex Financial Instruments Unit.

Palladium also announced Carlos Reyes has joined the firm as a managing director.
