The E.W. Scripps Company, a diversified media company, announced the appointment of Dave Giles as chief legal officer, effective at the end of 2024.

Giles, currently deputy general counsel, has led Scripps in the areas of media law; defense of the First Amendment and intellectual property; and litigation, antitrust, and regulatory issues. He also served as the company’s chief ethics officer and oversaw its employment and labor practice.
