Versant Health, a national managed vision care company and wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife, announced the appointment of Hayley Ellington-Buckles as chief compliance and privacy officer.
Ellington-Buckles brings more than two decades of managed healthcare experience, most recently serving as a principal for Prophetic Advantage Consulting.
Prior to that, she served as chief compliance officer and senior vice president, operations at Versant from 2017-21.
In 2012, she joined Davis Vision, now one of Versant Health’s two vision care plans, as vice president of compliance, contracting, and clinical administration.
In her current role, Ellington-Buckles will lead the compliance strategy and corporate compliance program for Versant. In addition to ensuring the organization is compliant with all state and federal regulatory requirements, she will oversee all aspects of developing and managing company licensing and reporting; audit management; vendor oversight; privacy office; regulatory affairs; and the organization’s special investigations/fraud, waste, and abuse program.
